Patssi Valdez has successfully navigated the art of costume design, mixed media collage, photography,installations, and set design, her paintings and gouaches offer her another means to express herself and redefine her world. Within her unique aesthetic, objects metaphorically explore her inner world and colors combine masterfully to create a visual vitality in her paintings. As a result, Valdez’s art embodies a new artistic sphere of symbols and concepts that expand Chicano Art and challenge the current definitions of American art.
