SANTA MONICA, Calif. (July XX, 2004) — Chicana artist and Los Angeles native, Patssi Valdez has been chosen to create the official artwork for the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards. Her painting will be used as the central image for the world's premier Latin music awards ceremony. In keeping with time-honored tradition, the official artwork graces the cover of the Latin GRAMMY Awards invitation and program book, and a poster of the image will be available online for sale to the public, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting a variety of Latin Recording Academy® programs.
